Beauty Out Of Waste

Devakrishna Marco Giollo mixes all types of different materials for his paintings. He collects waste materials, old jewellery, embroidery and antique headworks, which he purchases at local flee-markets in Asia. He adds his findings to the strong colors he chooses to use; this way he is able to create unique compositions of forms and colors, inspired by his meditations.
Work 164 focuses on nuances of blue, which represent the ocean and its depth. Giollo’s meditation background transpires in this painting, as it embodies the act of going into oneself, going home in the present moment.
