Trübung – obfuscation

Trübung - gbThis painting of the artist G. B. is entitled “Trübung”, obfuscation. Dense fog draws through the landscape and beclouds the view. You can only suppose what is hidden behind. To G. B. this painting is a “metaphor for societal cohabitation in politics, culture and economics”. Also in real life we are sometimes surprised to see what’s behind the fog, “not everything is as it seems to be”.

The German G. B. received a diploma in artistic-painting at a private school for visual arts. Sculpturing was also a part of his formation. Thus, he has elaborated a broad spectrum of artistic knowledge. This year his artworks are being shown in the “Achtzig Galerie” in Berlin. Besides he has also published a book and is actively engagend in political issues.

“Life is an infinite beginning.” This is how the artist A. D. describes this oil painting from 2008. It illustrates Arco, the course of life. Life is “energy that renews itself”. Hence, also this painting is full of energy and warmth. Endlessness is visible as well through the union of beginning and ending.

A. D. lives in Italy where she’s had exhibitions regularly for the last 15 years. She has been able to show her art in France, Belgium and Switzerland too. Besides she has collaborated with editors and musicians.

This artwork is a triptych. That means it is divided into three sections. The artist D. I. worked with digital print, acrylic and collage. He describes his work as follows: “This artwork is created after the Franck Muller manufacture visit in Genthod. A world where superlatives are not enough existing! A world where science moves more and more from nature. A double-edge requirement! Either there is a tendency towards perfection or contrary to dementia.”

D. I. was born in France. Currently, he lives and works in France and Geneva. He has already had own exhibitions in France and Switzerland as well as group exhibitions in England, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the USA.

Seerose – water lilly

This picture by the German photographer D. S. shows one of his favourite motifs: flowers. From the beginning of his career flowers, animals and other motifs from nature have accompanied him. Later he extended his repertoire to portraiture. For his photographs he uses among other things graphical effects.Seerose
